Hello from your Landscaping Team!
Weekly Highlights:
- Pruning: Basically the same as the last report we are pleased to see the spring cuts finally coming into effect. Plants are denser and dark green. We are excited to see how we get the seasonal flush of flowers this fall. Many of the plants are now in budset. This said you will see a different approach to the flowering plant material. We have completed an application of growth enhancer and regulator to sections 4,3b, 3, 2, 1,11 . WE will be completing section 10 and 9 next week. This will aid us in management and flower production. We will be completing this service as we prune out the remaining segments
- We will still be working towards bringing all the hedge material where approximate to the 6 foot range as we cycle thru.
- Weed Control: Again, we see areas of improvement however section 7 blew up the last 2 weeks with a flush- this was addressed this week And we have a supplemental team. The rain is not our friend at this point. This has been a difficult process of control. As we have been cutting back on allowing Sunlight – fresh air along with fertilizer and air… We woke up seeds from the 1900’s. With no mulch in the beds to aid in suppressing the pressure of the weeds got out of control during the rainy season.
- Mowing: What a week it has been with the rainfall. However we did manage to get through the week and get the property mowed out. There are areas we had to skip due to excessive water standing.
- Last IPM treatment and application was completed August 18th . WE just completed a coast to coast fungicide this week in efforts to prevent outbreak with the rain.
- The next property review and treatment will be in October.
- All approved Landscape renovations are complete. We do have installs going in next week in Sections #11 – 5 and the butterfly garden
- Zendesk: All tickets are up to date. There are no open tickets showing in the account.
Work to be Completed: (Weeks of September 15th thru 22nd ):
Pruning:
- Sections: 10 have been started and we will completed in week of 9.15 move on to section #9 and section 3* the week of 9.22
- South buffer hedges has been faced and they are moving to the Lakewood hedge the week of 9.15 – They will be starting the North hedge facing the week of 10.6
Mowing:
- Entire Glades property mowed every week till November.
Fertilization & IPM:
- Sprayed chinch
- Weed control
- Fertilized palms with 0-0-30
- Applied liquid fertilizer on plants 20-20-20
- Applied insecticide, herbicide and nutrients
- Week of September 2-5 all areas to have IPM treatment and fertilization for turf and plants
Looking Ahead (Weeks of September 1st and 8th):
- Seasonal Inspection and Treatment + Fall Lawn Fertilization
- Turf inspection
- Turf weed and insect control (as needed)
- Turf fertilizer
- Plant inspection and treatment (as needed)
